Minimum version of SQLNet2 required to connect succesfully to an Oracle 8.1.7 RDBMS?

Hello.



The answer to my question is hopefully very simple. Can you connect with
any SQLNet2-version to an Oracle 8.1.7-instance & if not, what's the
minimum version then? For some reason I think that a minimum version of
v2.3.4 is necessary, but I'm not sure of it. Also I already connected
succesfully via v2.2.3 to an Oracle 8.1.7-instance so at the moment I
have no clue at all.
