Tim,

There is an error in this line:

NLS_LANG=AMERICAN-AMERICA.UTF8; export NLS_LANG

The correct one is:

NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8; export NLS_LANG

I hope it is just typo. Instead of " _ " you are using " - ".
