Things to check.

Is the listener started on the Linux Machine ? - check with lsnrctl status If not, start it - lsnrctl start.
If you get an error starting the listener, please post the listener and error message.
If the listener is started, and you still cannot connect please post the relevant error message, the listener.ora on the Linux machine, and the tnsnames.ora on the client machine. Received on Sat Sep 22 2001 - 14:09:34 CDT
