Sure. As long as someone can cover for you while you're gone. If you don't have a backup, you should at least cross-train someone who's capable to do the basic day to day stuff like extending tablespaces, starting/stopping instances, etc.
I took 3 weeks this past June to camp my way from Pennsylvania to the Grand Canyon and back. Left the pager at home and forgot about work for nearly a month. But then again we have 2 full time DBAs and one manager who used to be a full time DBA.
