I've backed it out of 2 sites if thats what you mean by "use". They were pretty raw (using the default delivered 'system_plan'), but because they had several archive locations and remote transfer to standby et al, we observed that whenever the background processes got busy (like multiple arch's etc), the user processes basically got zilch cpu and thus the database "hung" where "hung" means the users scream but gee great, our archives made it over the standby in record time...!
