Try UTL_SMTP (available in 8i) or our PSP_Mail solution (also
available for 8i as it uses UTL_SMTP as the base) which extends
the raw SMTP interface provided by UTL_SMTP. This way you
won't need any OS-specific solutions, everything's internal to
Oracle8i and runs everywhere Oracle do.
