More on tnsping and TCP/IP connection problems

Well I completely removed personal Oracle 8 and reinstalled. This time I went through a full developer installation instead of a custom. I now only have D:\bin\orawin95\net80\admin directory. I can also now run SQL/Net Easy Config. to set up my tnsnames entries. However, none of the networking components work. From SQL/Net Easy config if I hit the "TEST" button it causes a Windows invalid page fault. If I try to use the ODBC driver from an application, it causes an invalid page fault. If I try tnsping80.exe it also causes an invalid page fault. If I try to use SQL/Plus the same thing happens.

All I really want to do is be able to use the ODBC driver and possibly JDBC.
