Re: refreshing from production

There are two options,

1. full export of production and full import into development.
2. If archive is enabled on production, take a hot backup. Restore the production database on your development box, apply archive logs.

I personally prefer option 2). 1) may give you a lot of errors due to all sorts of problems.
