I already verified that the user is in V$PWFILE_USERS.

This is my SQLNET.ORA entry,

NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= (TNSNAMES) Also, I am not planning to implement this. I am just curious to try and connect this way. I read few docs abt the security vulnureblity.

Just another question on the security side. If the database is secured (behind the firewall) so that only a few other unix servers can access it (no one, other than the SYSADM can define the unix users on these client side machines), is the security breach still applicable? If so how? (explanation would be much appreciable)
