I don't wish to be entirely flippant, but since there is no such thing as Parallel Server in 9i, I worry about your grasp of basics. It's called Real Application Clusters, and Parallel Server ceased to exist with 8.1.7.

RAC is so new, you might reasonably be considered an early adopter... I suggest you call Oracle Support and see what they have to say.
