Hi,

I've recently configured hotstandby. When I try to archive the logs, I get the following error messages:

(From primary site alert log)

ARC0: Error 4031 attaching RFS server to standby instance at host 'STDBY1.WORLD' ARC0: Error 4031 creating archivelog file 'STDBY1.WORLD'

(from v$archive_dest)

ORA-04031: unable to allocate bytes of shared memory ("","","","")

I've checked everything I can and read every metalink article about hot standby - no luck. Any ideas?

thanks,
