Well, thanks. But that's a lesson I learned earlier, although I (of course)
learned it the hard
way. ;-)) I do have backup of the ORADATA directory (and files) on OS file
level. I'm
afraid I wasn't specific about that -just mentioning easy access to all the
DDL scripts to
point out that rebuilding of indeces, etc. would be no more than a batch
job.
My question is how to tell mew installed ORACLE that the data files are
'legal',
[file recovery part deleted - sorry again, my fault]
