Downloaded from technet ..... but it should not matter as they are one and the same CDs, except with downloads, you are not legally allowed to use them on production and would have to purchase a license from Oracle.

In Oracle9i, you have an option to either let dbca

create the database for you ( I reckon it genereate the sql scripts on the fly and run them )
save to script for you to run manually
or both
