Apache and Oracle are totally different animals - if neither are
starting then you've probably got a problem with your startup scripts in
the relevant run control directory.



Secondly, is sounds like your are missing some crucial environment
variables in your session from which you try to launch the listener.




You need to know unix, not just oracle you know!
