Well....

I've tried and tried and tried. Alright, it's a SPARC 20 dual proc with 12gig and only 128mb RAM, but it's only a play box and Oracle Installer never said 128 wasn't enough......

Anyway, I've spent weeks on this, and this last install was the best yet, not one error during the entire six hour installation process, Net8 config, DB created, Apache started on port 7777 finished, all happy.

Didn't try it, rebooted striaght away to clear out the almost full /tmp and swap.

No sign of Oracle at all. The software is there, but it doesn't start. No apache, no wesberver at all.

If I start the listener manually, I get:

Message 1070 not found, No message file for product=network, facility=TNSSegmentation Fault (core dumped)

Any ideas before I give DB2 on linux a try??
