Greetings all, I was hoping that someone might help me out. I am about to embark on the
creation of a data warehouse and I am not quite sure were to start. I understand the principles
behind the physical architecture of an Oracle database to house the ware house. However, I am
not sure what I need to do next? I have an OLTP database which currently has the data to that
needs to be warehoused. I have a test database created for the warehouse. From what I can
see I think that I need Oracle's database warehouse builder, is this correct? I would appreciate any
advice. I have read Kimball's book as well as Dodge's book, I fully understand the philosophy and
theory behind the warehouse, my only problem is the initial "... how do I get it going..."?

Thank You,
Louis. Received on Tue Aug 07 2001 - 20:06:07 CDT
