OMS not allowing 8.1.7 databases

Is anyone familiar with getting Oracle Management Server to work with 8.1.7
nodes?  I have four instances, two 8.1.6 and two 8.1.7.  All four nodes get
auto detected, but only the 8.1.6 databases are visible to store jobs and
events.  The 8.1.7 nodes' databases do not even appear in the database tree.
I have OEM v.2.2 on Windows2000.  The databases are on Linux and Solaris
machines.
