Hi,

we want to migrate from 7.3.4 (32-Bit) to 8.1.7 (64-Bit). Our system is a IBM RS6000 S7A with 12 cpu, 16 GB RAM and AIX 4.3.3 We have 320 concurrent user in the system. The Software is Baan 4c.

Now my questions for the group:

How can i determine the memory usage for db-processes (db_writers, db_checkpoint,...)
and for the baan client ("client memory in Oracle) ?
>i think i have not enough memory for 8.1.7

We have a 80% OLTP and 20% batch-system Whats about multithreaded server ? Can it be a solution for my problem ? Who have some pracis information ?
Hoy can i test it ?

and the last:

is the memory usage from the 64-Bit 8.1.7 greater then the 32-Bit version 8.1.7 ??

thanks
