You would know what you are talking about with NT/2000? Thats enough for me to say go with it, but if you aren't doing the work and only recommending hardware, then the knowledge of the system lies with the people already employed and they know AIX, so stick with that. 50 concurrent heavy users should be handled fine by NT/2000.
