Hi all,

I am trying a full database export to tape with the following command on rs/6000 aix 4.3.3

The database version is 8.0.4

The export fails with the following error after some time.

>>

EXP-00002: error in writing to export file EXP-00222:
System error message 6
EXP-00002: error in writing to export file EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

>>

I am trying to export an approximately 8Gb database with a single 7GB table of lobs. I gave the following command

exp system full=y file=/dev/rmt0 volsize=4096M log=expfull.log \ buffer=2048000

My tape drive is 4GB native. I tried a lower volsize of 3500M and still the result is the same. The export runs for some time and fails after exporting a part of the large table.

May I have your feedback & suggestions please

Thanks
