Hi,

*gg* write a pro*c programm that opens the file and stores the data in the table. Fairly simple approach. Btw. $ORACLE_HOME/precomp/demo/proc has very nice examples including the opening of picture files and storing in blob columns

imho the reason for the flame was that you were "passing on" requests by your client "customer" ? Most of the people in this newsgroup do get paid for their time.
