You can't change the v$resource_limit or any v$ objects for that matter.

Oracle 9i has been improved
to get rid of the enque_resource
contention whcih might happen for
any locking request. I haven't seen any
document which address this value of
unlimited. However, my best assumption is this is a new improved feature which
means one won't have to do the tuning
related to enque_resources.

I would suggest, do a search with
keyword like 'resource_limit' or enque_resources in metalink and if you can't find any satisfactory information, create a tar with your question and someone from Oracle would provide a more specific answer. Received on Thu Jul 19 2001 - 17:28:45 CDT
