Oracle 9i on Solaris: database creation hangs at 50%

Hello folks !



While I managed to install 9i on Solaris 8
new database creation (either from installer
or using dbca) goes into a hang at 50% - 
never completes.



It says: "Clone database creation


in progress" and forever spins at 50% completion.



Any clues ?
