fwiw, you shouldn't switch to archivelog mode after a "shutdown abort". It's not supported as recovery needs to be done and you are trying to change the database mode beforehand.

Bad.

If it was me, I'd have "shutdown immediate", "startup restrict", "shutdown", "startup mount", "alter database archivelog" etc.
