Hi *,
did anyone of you succeed installing Oracle OPS on Suse Linux 7.2 ? Here is my problem:
(1) I installed Oracle 8.1.7.0.1 including the OPS Option (!!)
(2) I applied the patch for the glibc (everything went fine)
(3) I tried to start svrmgrl and got the error ORA-12545
(4) I tried to "relink all"
(5) I got linker errors "undefined symbols"
(6) I changed the parameters in the file $ORACLE_HOME/lib/sysliblist to
"-ldl -lm -lnsl -lpthread"
(7) Now the "relink all" worked (the problem with the undefined symbols was
resolved)
(8) I started svrmgrl - This worked also now.
(9) I connected as internal (jippie this also went fine)
(10) Now i tried to create a new database. Now the LMON process crashed...
(this is reproduceable)
Does anyone know what went wrong ?
Thanks in advance
