One idea. Don't.

8.1.6 is being desupported by Oracle at the end of October and it is not exactly one of Oracle's proudest achievements. The version is very buggy.

Go to 8.1.7.1.0 or later. And if you follow the directions provided on the CD in the documentation it is smooth and painless.
