I'd try another Oracle rep...8.1.7 is, as far as I can tell from Oracle's press and product releases, is the last supported version...

Solaris, HP-UX.
Oracle help to migrate:
10% cross platform migration fee for Bronze custs will be waived if custs transfer their Oracle licenses to an Oracle8i Appliance by 12/31/01.
10% cross platform migration fee will be applied for all other situations.
Error Correction end date 31-Dec-01
All Support end date : 31-Dec-04
