RPC errors/Sybase Transparent Gateway

on long queries I get the following error:

ORA-02068: following severe error from ABC ORA-28511: lost RPC connection to heterogeneous remote agent using SID=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=BH1)(PORT=1522) ))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=tg4sybs)))
