PHP HOWTO v24.0 released: ADODB connects oracle, pgsql, mysql, sybase..

Hello everyone:

PHP Howto version 24.0 is released to public, which contains details about the ADODB to connect all types of SQL servers like oracle, sybase, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQLserver, MS Access. There is ADODB driver for more than 30 types of SQL servers. You name it, it is there, whether it is Interbase, Foxbase, DB2 etc..

It really does not matter what type of SQL server you use, as long as you write your web applications in PHP. Changing the SQL from Oracle to PostgreSQL and vice-versa is a snap. Current trend is - you write all your front-ends in Web pages using PHP...

PHP is a simple object-oriented and most popular, powerful server-side web
scripting language in the world. PHP had a "astronomical" growth in user-base and developer base in about a short span of time (less than 2 years).
