Did you reconfigure the OS according to the Oracle docs( - there are mandatory system settings involving shared memory, etc..) and restart?
The Out of Memory indicated that maybe some parameters in your init<sid>.ora file are too big ( db_block_buffers, block_size, shared_pool, whatever)
