I could duplicate the bug on 8.1.6.3.0 windows nt with SQL*Plus 8.0.6.0.0.
I could NOT duplicate the bug on 8.1.6.3.0 windows nt with SQL*Plus 3.3.4.0.0.
It seems to be a SQL*Plus bug.
