you would need to verify with network appliance that they actually support "sharing" a single file system by more than one host, and i'm not sure what kind of support a netapp filer would provide for that type of configuration.

the network appliance website has several papers discussing the placement of oracle datafiles on a netapp filer. the emphasis seems to be placed on the advantages of placing the database datafiles on the netapp filer. Received on Tue May 29 2001 - 20:55:53 CDT
