    An example scheme would be:

  1. UPS on 30 minutes power remaining - SNMP pages SysAdmin.
  2. 20 minutes power remaining - pages DBA
  3. 15 minutes power remaining - shutdown immediate
  4. 8 minutes power remaining - shutdown abort if database is not closed
  5. 4 minutes power remaining - halt server OS
