database creation hangs up

Hi


I have Oracle8i server on PentiumII 266/128MB/RAM/8GB HDD w/ Linux OS.
Installation completes succesfully, net8 configuration too, but when it
comes to database creation it hangs up. There is no CPU nor HDD usage ...
shared memory/semaphores parameters in kernel source are OK ...
Anybody knows where may the problem be ? Any solution ?
