Re: ORA-01034 for Oracle8.1.7 on Solaris

The default memory settings of Solaris are not sufficient, especially for Oracle 8.1.7 which is consumer in memory according to your install options.

You should increase all shm settings and RESTART your machine before continuing your Oracle install.
