Hi!

We have used PVCS. It takes some time to get into the use of it, particulary in your situation I belive; your "real world" will still be complicated. But it will be alot better then spreadsheet solutions when you got it running. We were able to avoid your situation, so I haven't tried quite your situation.
PVCS is a version control tool only, so it won't be "oracle aware".
