It will disappear when it will try to contact server next time. If client died it not gonna happen. So take Joe's advice or better yet configure dead client detection (DCD) and Oracle will clean them up. Ideally. There is a bug#1394008 in 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 when DCD does not work with MTS. You might need some patching.
