Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> 8.0.6 tnslistener won't start
I had oracle 8.0.4 and oracle 8.1.5 running on my server. The
application I support
recommended I use 8.0.6. I was able to install it & rebuild my instance,
but I CANNOT get tnslistener to start. Been trying for 3 days now.
Running on hpux 11 and had no problems with 8.1.5 tnslistener.
When I do lsnrctl status I get a bunch of "no listener" messages
TNS-12224 no listener TNS-12541 no listener TNS-12560 protocol adapter error TNS-00511 no listener
as well as an "HPUX Error 2 No such file or directory."
When I try to start listener the $ORACLE_HOME/network/log/listener.log shows
NL-00280 error creating log stream
NL-00230 error in file name construction
SNL-00200 snlpcsp executable not found
Is it trying to write to a read-only file/directory? Is a logical link broken? If so, what file/directory?
Thanks for any suggestions. I've exhausted the documentation & am currently perusing Oracle Technology Network for suggestions. Toni G Received on Wed May 02 2001 - 12:16:28 CDT
