Oracle 8.1.6 install on Solaris 2.7 HELP req'd

Hi ,
Solais 5.7
Oracle 8.1.6

I am an newbie to Oracle. I want to install Oracle without using Xwindows is this possible. i.e Run in a vt100 session. I run ./runInstaller

It asks me to set DISPLAY and then starts to kick of java apps.

Can anyone help or do you require more info.
