Ah yes. But will there be new versions? New features? Improved performance? And support? And will you, in five years, be able to find anyone that wants to work on it rather than something current?

COBOL is still out there. But you don't find a lot of people under 50 years old wanting to touch it. And even most of us are too smart to do so.
