You will find that Oracle DBAs, like C programmers, have a greater tendency to be assholes than other IT fields (and IT people already tend to be self-righteous and anal!).

There are several assholes here that LOVE to put people down, and they LOVE to answer every question (every question is a fresh opportunity for a put-down!). They love to use the excuse of "that's been asked already," or "you are asking the wrong question" (as in this case).
