I would start with this "virtual book" about security:

You can branch off from here to relevant sections in the Admin Guide, App Dev - Fundamentals, and Advanced Security Guide. Also from this page you can pick (from the dropdown) another virtual book for LDAP that will get you all the topics from the Oracle Internet Directory books.
