Re: password for start / shutdown

the standard-password for the internal (sys as sysdba)-user is: oracle
you can change the password by typing the following sql-statement. alter user sys identified by '<new-password>'; or you can change the PWD<sid>.ora-file by user the orapwd-command-line-utility.
