Can anybody tell me if they tried to install oracle 817 on redhat 7.0, I
have a Pentium 4 that
I just got and Redhat 7.0 is the only option I had because of the
dirvers needed for this setup.
The software installs but when I try to create a database I get a
ORA-3113 End of Cummunications
error... I looked on Metalink and there is an article that addresses
this which states that the problem
consists of Oracle 817 using the glibc 2.1.3 that ships with Redhat 6.x
and Redhat 7.0 ships with
glibc 2.1.9x . The Article also states that a new release of the Oracle
817 will be released in March
and will address this problem and I noticed that there is an Oracle
81701 release that just came out.
Has anybody tried to install this on Redhat 7.0 with any success.
