Start Net8 Assistant or Net8 Easy Config. Create a listener. Also make a service name for the clients (similar to ODBC source).

Related files are listener.ora and tnsnames.ora

tnsnames.ora is for clients so they now how to connect to a database. listener.ora is for the database, which protocol/port to listen on for connection requests.

I don't know personal edition but in UNIX/Linux the listener has a program called lsnrctl.

ASP, will you use ODBC? I suggest you use the Microsoft ODBC Driver for Oracle not Oracle's own.
In the server box enter the name of the service you created in Net 8 HTH Jerra
