This is an Oracle documented bug. We saw this on only one of our servers as well and it occurred in all 8.0.5 releases including 8.0.5.2.1. At first we recreated our controlfile and that temporarily fixed the problem, but when it returned we were forced to upgrade to 8.0.6, were it is fixed.
