No such thing as "Windows 2000 Me." They are different OSes (one is Windows 2000 and the other is Windows Me).

If you could only install the client, then I would assume you have Windows Me, which is the upgrade to Windows 98 and Windows 95. Those DOS-based OSes do not run the Oracle server. Windows 2000 is the upgrade to Windows NT, which does run the server.

Press the start button and look at the left sode of the menu, it will tell you which OS you have. Received on Mon Apr 02 2001 - 18:26:10 CDT
