Linux Intel 8.1.7 OPS config - recommendations needed

Does anyone have suggestions, recommendations or info for a Linux OPS 2-node cluster hardware configuration? Specifically, without going into a lot of cost: a basic SCSI (Ultra, 2/3,W?) controller config per Intel PCI-bus server with a shared drive in the middle, for OPS disk sharing? This would assume Redhat 6.2 and the new Linux 8.1.7 OPS release.

The objective is to test a 2-node OPS cluster in a relatively inexpensive config, ala Intel. As opposed to a Solaris/Sparc/Suncluster/mucho $$$$ config.

Thanx in advance!
