Re: installer link errors 8.1.7 on AIX 4.3

AIX 4.3.3.0.04 Oracle 8.1.6.0 Rel2

I've recently had a similar problem while trying to install the precompilers. Turns out that the installer wants to install Advanced Security by default ( as well as several other products that I don't need ). If I take the defaults, the link error occurs and if I uncheck Advanced security ( and others ), the link errors go away.

You can execute the link manually to get the actual errors from the make call ( or dig into the make.log as another poster suggested ), which may help you determine where the problem originates.
