We found a nasty bug in 8.1.7.0 on SPARC/Solaris, using MTS. Every once in a while a shared server, upon deallocation, runs wild chewing up memory until the system chokes. Nothing from Oracle on it other than a statement that there are many memory leaks that will be fixed in 8.1.7.1.
